Welcome to Belper Natural Health Centre, Derbyshire’s number one complimentary health clinic.
Established for over 25 years, we have a wide range of therapies available, provided by professional experienced practitioners.
We prefer a drug free approach, our work takes a holistic perspective and we focus on the positive aspects of health and wellbeing.
In 2012 I qualified as an Osteopath after completing a demanding five year degree course with The College of Osteopaths / Middlesex University, underpinned by clinical training, resulting with a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Osteopathy.
Further exams have to then be undertaken to become registered with the General Osteopathic Council. I qualified in 2012 and worked as an associate in North London before moving back to Derbyshire and now working here as an osteopath.
Henry Bennett specialises in massages, especially sports massage to aid and support training.
He is also fully qualified in Swedish massage, head massage and reflexology
Henry has worked at the clinic for a number of years now and is a well established member of the team.
Therapeutic & Sports Massage is for everyone who has aches, muscle soreness, injuries or just simply enjoys a massage that concentrates on specific areas of tension.
Having qualified with BTEC Level 5 Sports and Remedial Massage in 2014, I have experience of working with athletes such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitors, The Tongan Rugby team, runners at the London Marathon and also with people recovering and in the later stages of Cancer.
Therefore I am able to adjust and use techniques that will meet the needs of the client and am constantly wanting to improve my practise and add to my skills, working with the client to meet their treatment goals.
Here are some of the techniques used:
- Classical Strokes; Effleurage, Kneading
- Muscle Energy Technique
- Soft Tissue Release
- Trigger Point Therapy
I am also a Paediatric Occupational Therapist with 20 years experience which has given me hands on and in-depth knowledge of the function and movement of the body.
I like to keep fit and healthy through regular swimming, yoga and walking.
Nicholas Lintott is a specialist in Acupuncture. He initially became interested after his partner suggested a course in Leamington, and since then he has studied and developed a great interest in various forms of complementary medicine.
Nicholas started his training in 1981 at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa. He then furthered his interest in Chinese Medicine studying at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine at Reading. Finishing his studies with a Lic.Ac and a M.B.Ac.C in 1984 he has practiced privately since then.
Aside from acupuncture, Nicholas has worked on many projects and studies. He has a degree in Sociology and Psychology, and has been a community worker amongst other things.
Helen Barrett has been working as a general practitioner of acupuncture since 1999. After qualifying from the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa, Helen started her own practice in Bury St. Edmunds, dealing with a huge variety of health issues, ranging from physical problems such as arthritis and back pain, to emotional issues such as depression and panic attacks. Using a caring and holistic approach Helen has achieved outstanding results with her individual techniques.
Helen now combines her general practice with her specialism in emotional issues such as stress, PTS and depression and covers a very wide range of issues. She believes that acupuncture can provide a powerful emotional and physical support for everyone whatever their problems and helps empower people to see their own potential for wellness.
I work as Person Centred Counsellor and Supervisor.
Connecting into a therapeutic relationship can seem frightening and too vulnerable a place to step into.
And yet, taking the courage to step into that relationship may lead to a new sense of who you are.
How much do you want your past to determine your future?
What gets in the way of you being who you want to be?
Give me a call or check out my website: www.wildmantalking.com
I am a Person Centred Therapist graduating from Nottingham University in 2008 with a degree in Humanistic Counselling.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and am fully insured.

I am pleased to be able to offer counselling/psychotherapy in a confidential and friendly setting, allowing you the space to explore your feelings to develop a greater understanding of your difficulties and to help you make sense of what is happening in your life.
I work with both children and adults supporting them through difficulties including anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, anger, relationship difficulties or coping with significant change.
When you contact me I can tell you more about the counselling I offer and answer any questions you have. We can then arrange a suitable time for your first session where we can talk further about what type of support you may require. I offer long or short term counselling and whilst sessions are usually on a weekly basis, I can discuss the option of fortnightly appointments.

Clinical Hypnotherapist & EFT Practitioner
I am a fully qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist registered with both the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CHNC) and the General Hypnotherapy Register.
General Medical Council guidance to doctors confirms that they are able to refer patients to practitioners on accredited registers – this includes all CNHC registrants.
I work with my clients to help provide a natural and effective way of helping with many problems, including the following:
- Sleep problems
- Fears and phobias
- Self esteem
- Confidence in public speaking
- Sport performance enhancement
- Past Life Regression
- Inner Child
- Unwanted behaviours and habits
I am also a Certified Hypnoslimmer Consultant – a proven method of changing your relationship with food, and therefore easily and naturally reducing your shape and size. The Hypnoslimmer programme is 4 weekly sessions and includes the “virtual gastric band surgery”.
I have seen some truly fantastic results for the many clients I have worked with, and unlike “slimming clubs”, there are no calories to count, no syns or forbidden foods. In fact, no diet at all. You can eat whatever you like.
The best bit is that you don’t even have to weigh yourself – If I told you that you for example, that you could be 2 clothing sizes smaller and still be the same weight…. you would be happy with that … wouldn’t you?
I am qualified to work with everyone from the age of 5 upwards, but I have chosen to work only with adults.
EFT is very much like acupuncture but is totally none invasive. I use EFT alongside Hypnosis where it is appropriate.
I offer a free initial consultation, usually by telephone. This will allow both you the client and myself to ensure hypnotherapy can help you.
I will be available by appointment at Belper Natural Health Centre on Thursday each week for therapy, but you can call me anytime for a telephone consultation prior to booking at Belper.
